Hydrophilic fabric, also called baby cotton or muslin, is a beautifully soft and supple cotton weave with excellent moisture-absorbing properties. Because of this quality, it’s the ideal choice for anything touching sensitive baby skin.
This fabric is known for its open, woven structure that makes it breathable and flexible. The material feels wonderfully soft, drapes loosely and has a light texture that’s lovely to wear. Note: hydrophilic fabric shrinks slightly more than average cotton fabrics when first washed. The great advantage is you don’t need to iron it after washing, the structure naturally smooths itself beautifully.
