Muslin, also known as hydrophilic cotton or baby cotton, has a wonderfully soft, supple and absorbent character. It's easy to work with for a wide range of purposes, and is particularly popular for babies, where it's used for swaddle blankets, pram liners, baby clothing and much more. Thanks to its open weave structure, ironing is not required, though it does shrink slightly more than average when washed.
